About Pragati (ICPL 87)

Pragati (ICPL 87) is an early-maturing, determinate ICRISAT pigeonpea derived from the cross T 21 by JA 277 and released for peninsular India. Its short, flat-topped canopy carries pods in clusters at the top and can produce a strong ratoon crop, yielding over 5 t/ha across multiple harvests in trials. It bears large brown seeds and is tolerant of fusarium wilt, though susceptible to sterility mosaic.
