About Don Sumner South Tree

Don Sumner South Tree is a Georgia heritage pomegranate cultivar. The origin of the Georgia plants is largely unknown, though research efforts are underway to locate, identify, and characterize these local trees. It was one of fifteen pomegranate cultivars grown in Georgia used in a juice quality study.
