About Superior
Superior is a mid-season chipping potato bred from a cross of B96-56 (a parent of Kennebec) and M59.44, developed in Wisconsin in the mid-1900s. It produces round to oblong tubers with buff skin and white, medium specific gravity flesh, with fair to good appearance. It is an excellent fresh chipper and is also good for boiling, baking, and French frying.
