Red-stemmed purslane

Red-stemmed purslane (Portulaca oleracea var. sativa) is a cultivated purslane variety identified by red stems instead of the green stems of common purslane. It grows close to the ground, spreading and rooting at the nodes, and has a strategy to deal with hot weather and water stress conditions.
