About Vranja

Vranja, also spelled Vranja Nenadovic, is a Serbian quince cultivar that has become one of the most respected varieties in Europe and holds an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. It produces very large, pear-shaped fruit with pale golden skin and an exceptionally strong, sweet fragrance. The flesh is firm and cooks to a fine flavor and color, making it a top choice for jelly, membrillo, and baking. Trees are vigorous, ornamental, and productive, bearing large fragrant fruit that stores and perfumes indoors. Vranja is widely regarded as one of the best all-round quinces for cooler European climates.
