About Gianfra
Gianfra is a nursery-origin ornamental cultivar of Echinopsis pachanoi documented by LLIFLE for its irregular stem growth. Its ribs can branch or break into rounded bumps instead of forming continuous, evenly arranged ridges. The upright stems are pale green to blue-green when young and become darker with age; branches commonly arise near the base. LLIFLE describes short, uneven spines of approximately 1-4 mm. The cultivar account reports that flowers and fruit had not been observed, so species-level flowering descriptions should not be treated as confirmed traits of Gianfra. The name refers to this particular documented selection, not to every irregular or crested San Pedro cactus.
