Regent

Regent is a serviceberry cultivar that is self-fruitful, meaning its flowers can be pollinated by blossoms on the same tree. The fruit of the species Amelanchier arborea, downy serviceberry, is not considered very flavorful, but it makes wonderful pies, cobblers, and crisps. A few diseases affect this plant, including powdery mildew, which can develop under favorable conditions.
