About Success
Success is a serviceberry, also known as juneberry, saskatoon, shadbush, sarvisberry or sarvis, a member of the rose family native to North America. Its fruit is not a true berry but rather a pome fruit that looks like a rose hip, ripening in late June through July to a dark, purple-blue color. Most serviceberry are self-fruitful and will only produce marginally for the first 2 years, with heavier yields beginning at 3 to 5 years old and full production at 8 years.
