About Florida Brilliance

Florida Brilliance (PPAF) is a new short-day strawberry cultivar released by the University of Florida and commercialized in 2018, approved for release by the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station in 2017 and granted U.S. Patent PP30,564 in 2019. FL 11.31-14 was chosen as a parent for its yield, shape, and fruit firmness, while FL 10-153 was chosen primarily for its disease resistance and uniform fruit color. It is so named for its attractively glossy and conical fruit, and released in 2017 with high early yield and moderate resistance to rain damage.
