About Florida Ember

Ember is a short day, early strawberry cultivar from UF/IFAS for USDA zones 7 to 9, named for its bright red external fruit color. Fruit is medium to large, uniform and conic, with bright red external color and light red to white internal color, low acid and high Brix similar to Florida Medallion, and moderate resistance to rain damage. This variety is best suited to open field production and has not yielded as well in high-tunnel environments.
