About Sweet Sensation
Sweet Sensation ('Florida127') is a strawberry discovered by the University of Florida and released in 2013 under U.S. Patent 25,574. It produces large, moderately uniform conic to broad-conic fruit that is bright red with lighter color than other cultivars, uniform in shape throughout the season with few non-marketable fruit. Compared with 'Florida Brilliance', its fruit is 1.0 to 1.5 degrees Brix higher in sugar and slightly lower in acidity, though it is susceptible to rain damage.
