Pa'lehua is a University of Hawaii taro selection from Maui Lehua crossed with the Palauan cultivar Ngeruuch. It was selected for leaf-blight resistance and purple corms suited to poi, combining Hawaiian culinary traits with a Palauan breeding parent.
