About Sri Wijaya
Sri Wijaya is a commercial Ceylon or true cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) cultivar from Sri Lanka Cinnamon Research Centre, offering a milder, more complex bark than Sri Gemunu, with about 50 percent cinnamaldehyde balanced by higher eugenol, cinnamyl acetate and benzyl benzoate for a warmer, clove-like character. A Type B flower type, it is interplanted with the Type A cultivar Sri Gemunu to enable cross-pollination. Its aromatic inner bark is peeled and rolled into quills, yielding up to about 600 kg per acre under good practices. A refined, spicy-warm true cinnamon.
