Ranga

Ranga is a turmeric variety from the High Altitude Research Station, OUAT, Pottangi, Odisha, part of the celebrated Pottangi group of high-curcumin selections. A long-duration type maturing in about 250 days, it combines a comparatively high yield near 29 t/ha with a strong dry recovery around 24.8 percent, making it productive both fresh and dried. Its spice value is high, with curcumin about 6.3 percent and oleoresin near 13.5 percent. It sits alongside sister releases such as Roma, Suroma and Rasmi.
