About Buccaneer

Buccaneer is a Dutch-bred English walnut cultivar valued for its heavy, reliable cropping and its usefulness as a pollinizer in cooler European climates. It is notably productive and comes into bearing relatively young, producing good crops of medium-sized, well-flavored nuts. Buccaneer is largely self-fertile and sheds abundant pollen over a long period, so it is often planted to pollinate other cultivars as well as to crop in its own right.
