About Booth 7
Booth 7 grew from a seed planted in Florida in 1920 and was propagated commercially in 1935. It came from an open-pollinated seedling of a Guatemalan type, probably crossed with a West Indian type, selected in 1927. The cultivar became a major commercial cultivar in Florida, valued for its good bearing and commercial popularity.
