About Jamaica Tall
Jamaica Tall, also called the Atlantic Tall, is the classic tall coconut of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, long the backbone of the region copra and plantation industry. A fast-growing, high-yielding and long-lived palm, it fell from dominance because it proved extremely susceptible to lethal yellowing disease, which wiped out vast acreages. It remains a historically important large tall coconut.
