Maypan

Maypan is a lethal-yellowing-resistant hybrid coconut bred in Jamaica by crossing the Malayan Dwarf with the Panama Tall, developed specifically to replace the Jamaica Tall after lethal yellowing destroyed it. It combines dwarf disease resistance with tall-type vigor and nut size, and became the mainstay replanting palm across much of the Caribbean.
