Ronde de Bordeaux

Ronde de Bordeaux is a small, deep-purple French fig celebrated as one of the earliest-ripening main-crop figs, often beating the summer rains. Related to the famous Violette de Bordeaux, it has strawberry-red flesh and an intense, resinous berry flavor packed into a little fruit. Its early ripening, more than winter hardiness, is its calling card.
