About Violette de Bordeaux
Violette de Bordeaux (also sold as Negronne) is a small, very cold-hardy fig producing dark purple-black fruit with deep red flesh and an intensely rich, berry-like flavor. Its compact, slow-growing habit makes it a favorite for containers and small food-forest plantings, and it is self-fruitful, needing no pollination. The fruit is prized for fresh eating.
