Saline

Saline is a mayhaw cultivar recommended, along with Big Red, as one of the best varieties to grow in Georgia. It is late blooming, productive, and noted for good firmness and fruit retention. Fruit is mostly red to light pink, ripening in late April to early May after blooming in early to mid March. Because of its high chilling requirement and late bloom, Saline is recommended for planting in middle and north Georgia to reduce the risk of spring freeze damage.
