About Victor

'Victor' is a taller, more erect and robust roselle cultivar selected from seedlings grown at the Subtropical Garden in Miami in 1906. It blooms somewhat earlier than 'Rico', with slenderer, more pointed calyces, a dark-red eye, and golden-brown pollen. Plants grow taller, to 7 ft (2.13 m). 'Victor' has proven to be a good choice for gardeners in South Florida.
