About Mineira

Mineira is a jaboticaba cultivar of Plinia cauliflora (formerly Myrciaria cauliflora) that was introduced into California in 1904. Mature jaboticaba trees may take up to 18 years to bear fruit and can yield over 1000 pounds of fruit annually under optimal conditions, with optimal spacing of 20 feet recommended.
