About Jaboticaba

Jaboticaba (Plinia cauliflora), also known as the Brazilian Grape Tree, is a unique fruit-bearing tree native to Brazil. It belongs to the Myrtaceae family, which includes other well-known species like guava and myrtle. The most striking feature of the Jaboticaba is its cauliflorous nature, meaning it produces flowers and fruits directly on its trunk and main branches. This gives the tree a distinctive, polka-dotted appearance when in fruit, with purplish-black, grape-like fruits clustered on the woody stems.
