Nam Doc Mai

Nam Doc Mai is a premier Thai mango cultivar prized throughout Southeast Asia and now popular in Australia and the United States. Its name translates roughly to "water of the flower," reflecting its fragrant, delicate quality. This variety is a favorite for eating both ripe and green, and it is the classic mango used in the Thai dessert mango sticky rice. Nam Doc Mai is polyembryonic and can produce relatively true-to-type seedlings, though grafted trees are standard for commercial and home planting.
