Sunbest

'Sunbest' nectarine tree originated in a cultivated area of the fruit breeding program at the University of Florida, Gainesville. It is a patented melting-flesh nectarine cultivar released in 2001, bred from the seed parent 'Sunraycer' nectarine and the pollen parent 'Suncoast' (unpatented) nectarine, and is intended as a replacement for 'Sunraycer' nectarine because of its larger and more attractive fruit.
