Creek

Creek is a pecan cultivar from a cross of Mohawk and Starking HG, released primarily for its superior precocity and disease resistance. In Tifton, Georgia trials it began bearing quickly, but actual kernel yield was only average, and as a mature tree productivity was similar to other cultivars with a tendency to bear alternately (alternate bearing index 0.68). Quality was often poor, with percent kernel averaging only 48 percent.
