Great Wall

Great Wall is an astringent persimmon prized for exceptional cold hardiness, reportedly hardy to about 0 F, having been selected to withstand harsh Chinese winters. It bears small, flat, four-sided fruit marked with fine dark stripes; the flesh is comparatively dry, much like Tanenashi, and sweetest when fully soft-ripe. The upright, ornamental tree tends toward biennial bearing.
