Eversweet

Eversweet is a pomegranate prized for its very sweet, low-acid flavor and its virtually clear, nearly colorless juice that does not stain like darker varieties. It ripens earlier than many pomegranates, making it well suited to areas with shorter or cooler growing seasons, including coastal California. The medium-sized fruit has red skin and pinkish-red arils with soft seeds. Because it can ripen fruit even in less-than-ideal heat, Eversweet is a popular choice for home gardeners in milder climates who struggle to ripen late-season varieties like Wonderful.
