About Handa

Handa is the only patented Vanilla planifolia cultivar, developed by researchers from Reunion (Grisoni and Dijoux 2017); the future availability of this material is unknown. Vanilla planifolia originated in Mexico and Central America. The breeding program aimed to produce vanilla plants with disease resistance and favorable agronomic properties.
